About the Retreat:

Baileys Retreat is a 50 acre estate and has been under the management or ownership by the Bailey Family since the early 1800's. Please enjoy it all, mountains, pool, viewing areas, pavilion and terraces. Note that you are in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mountains and our habitat houses every species of animal, bird, reptile and plant material that you would expect from a mountain retreat. Please note Ivy West is a working farm in the Retreat and it is PRIVATE.  The viewing area features incredible mountain views of the Shenandoah National Park. You can visit anytime and sunsets are truly amazing. The Baileys Retreat Pavilion is a deck wrapped around our 160 year old chimney housing two picnic tables and is stocked with wood and starter logs. The pavilion is great for a fireside chat in the early morning or at the early evening. To get to the pool. viewing area head up your driveway and the Adirondack chairs are on the lawn terrace below the garage. Feel free to walk up or drive up as there is parking at the garage.  The pavilion is to your right once you've exited your driveway. It is about 100 yards down Baileys Retreat Rd on the right.
