The Space

Recently renovated, our 850 sq foot cottage features a light-filled living/dining area, gas-burning fireplace, deck, galley kitchen, two bedrooms and one bath. The bedroom (one queen and one full) feature new beds with designer linens and pillows. Fully stocked with Cuisinart cookware and quality dinnerware, the galley kitchen and table for four are comfortable enough to enjoy dinner in.

Guest Access

We are happy to share much of the Retreat with guests. Bring a picnic or a bottle of wine the Adirondack chairs on our lawn terrace and marvel at one of our stunning sunsets or starry nights. Grab guitars or simply gather with family and friends for a fireside chat at out outdoor pavilion. Situated on a country lane off of a country road, you are welcome to stretch your legs on a six mile walk. Bailey’s Retreat offers plenty to do and plenty of places to do nothing. We hope you enjoy our family’s homestead as much as we do.

Wonderful quiet retreat

Baileys is a wonderful quiet retreat! The cottage is clean, cozy, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the relaxing scenic views With wildlife and fresh air. We will defiantly be back!!

Beautiful location, excellent stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very nice and fully furnished with 2 bedrooms. There is also a deck with an excellent view. There is also an outdoor fireplace and a look-out point on the top of the hill with a beautiful view of the Blueridge Mountains. Unfortunately, we were only able to stay in the area for the night, but we would love to come back anytime!

Beautiful, Peaceful Getaway

Perfect getaway if you want some peace and quiet. The cabin is well maintained and updated. Minutes from various vineyards. There’s no TV, which we enjoyed!

Perfect place for a quiet getaway

Our cottage was everything anybody could have ever wanted from a quiet getaway. The owner Bill, especially, was very nice and accommodating. The retreat is close to Charlottesville and Crozet to visit the surrounding wineries and breweries easily. We went to Charlottesville for dinner each night we visited, which was just short drive (15mins) away. Once the weather will cool down, we'll be sure to visit again to take advantage of the amazing viewing area and watch the sunset and share a glass of wine or beer at the common fire place, and hope to hike the trails to enjoy the serene and breathtaking views.

Lovely cottage, great location

We were only in the area for one night, but the cottage (#2) was perfect for a comfortable stay and only 20 minutes drive into Downtown Charlottesville. We had everything we could have possibly needed in the cottage for our our stay. Nice touches with the snacks and water bottles. The cottages are in a wonderful setting and would certainly choose Baileys Retreat next time we’re in the area.

Cute cottage

My husband and I had a nice and relaxing stay. The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable! We had a nice chat with Bill as we were taking in the breathtaking views of Shenandoah Valley. We thought it was very nice that they supply all the firewood for the indoor and outdoor fireplace. If we decide to return to the area we will book again!
